[edit] Article needing your touch

Hope all is well. Take a look at Merlin German. He passed away last week.--Looper5920 (talk) 16:29, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Things are good on this end. i am not really in a position to make any big contributions at the moment. Maybe later in the summer assuming everything goes well. Came across another one that could use just a few touch ups and might look good on the portal eventually.....Lucy Brewer. Take it easy.--03:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)~

[edit] I need a bit of administrator help

There is an anonymous user (User:132.79.13.15), whom you have previously blocked for vandalism, that has vandalized my userpage a few times, seemingly in response for my reverting his/her vandalism of Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Checking the IP, it seems to be a US Army domain (possibly Fort Belvoir), and some of the other contributions are mostly related to the Army. I've added another vandalism warning template on the talk page, but I doubt it will do any good. Do you think you could do something administrator-ly to discourage this vandalism, or at least keep it on your radar? I would appreciate the help. bahamut0013 01:30, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, it seems that User:Rlevse threw a 24-hour block on him real fast. Still, I wonder how effective that will be. bahamut0013 01:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
He's at it again. bahamut0013 11:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Much appreciated. Some people just don't have that much sense. bahamut0013 12:13, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Apologies

here. I didn't realise the creator had undone my speedy and then you re-tagged. I think the history loaded oddly for me because when I undid my own speedy yours didn't show. Sorry 'bout that. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 04:30, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I think what happened was the first tagger wiped the whole article and put {{cfd}} which was what led me to tagging G1 -- thiking it was a re-creation of a deleted post complete with speedy. Then when I refreshed and saw it had content, I de-tagged as G1 not realising ou'd re-tagged as G3. If nothing else, it will be an amusing AfD along the lines of other recent ones of monkeys and superheroes but obviously feel free to Speedy it if you think it's G3-able. [edit] Electric zerobike

Apologies for disturbing you on wikibreak. I was just doing some prod patrol and noticed that Electric zerobike didn't have a reason associated with it. I've added a prod-2, but thought it'd be best to drop you a note here. Many thanks, Gazimoff WriteRead 01:03, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] re: Double or Nothing (1936 film)

Hi. Yes, there are definetly two different films. The 1937 one stars Bing Crosby, while the 1936 one is a short film nominated for an Oscar. On a second check, it looks like the NY Times page seems to have merged the two films together! I'll reference the Oscar nom on the '36 film from elsewhere. Thanks! [edit] Speedy deleting an article

Hi there, I've nominated this article for speedy twice, but the author keeps removing the tag, and claiming he's removed the blatant advertising. Can you check out the article and tell me if the article isn't spam? - Amog |Talk 13:51, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
