Elwood Township is located in Vermilion County, Illinois. The population was 1,672 at the 2000 census.

Elwood Township covers an area of 24.9 square miles and contains the village of Ridge Farm. According to the USGS, it contains four cemeteries: Crown Hill, Pilot Grove, Sharon and Vermilion.
