Blount Township is located in Vermilion County, Illinois. The population was 3,325 at the 2000 census.

Blount Township covers an area of 51.73 square miles. The northwestern portion of the county seat of Danville extends into the southeast portion of the township, as does a portion of Lake Vermilion. According to the USGS, it contains ten cemeteries: Bethel, Dodson, Fairchild, Higginsville, Johnson, New Salem, Pentecost, Porter, Snider and Thurman.
