Bollate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 10 km northwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 37,556 and an area of 15.9 km².[1]

The municipality of Bollate contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cascina del Sole, Cassina Nuova, Castellazzo, and Ospiate. In 2004 the former frazione of Baranzate was detached to form a new Comune.

Bollate borders the following municipalities: Paderno Dugnano, Senago, Garbagnate Milanese, Arese, Cormano, Novate Milanese, Baranzate, Milan.
