[edit] Reliable Source?
Hi, Redlands! I'm not convinced the Electronic Musicological Review article is all that reliable, especially in cases like Charles Wuorinen where he's only mentioned once in passing. Thoughts? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 16:03, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- See, Wourinen is one that I spent some time (a while back) looking for a ref and was unable to find anything to support the EMR statement. Maybe we could cite the book itself [1]? Though I guess we should actually hold it in our hands to do that - and see if there's any further info... :) -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 16:21, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Featured List of the Day Experiment
There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 21:57, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Another request
Hi, Red!
Got a request. When you add someone to the LGB lists, would you also check that person's article and make sure a) there's info about their sexuality in the article, b) the sexuality info is sourced, c) they're in one of the LGBT people cats, and d) the {{LGBTProject}} banner is on their talk page? For instance, you added Oeyvind Rauset to the list, but Rauset's article has none of the above. Many thanks for all your hard work on the lists!!!!! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 16:20, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- The bot is *supposed* to be building the "requested" in the template from Wikipedia:Requested articles/Social sciences#Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender. But it hasn't updated that section in forever. I'd put it in Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies/Requested articles manually - that will make it show up in the "to do list". -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 06:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Harry and the Potters discography (second FL nomination)
Hello. Before, I submit Harry and the Potters discography for featured list status again, I would like to contact past opposes to ask if they would support the article at its new state. I have included a large thirteen item section, entitled 'Live releases' and the article is now larger than featured articles (not lists), Exploding whale and Pilot (House), aswell as featured list Nation of Ulysses discography. Do you believe it is ready for a second nomination, as I cannot find another negative point, apart from it was too small (and I agree it was). Thankyou Hpfan9374 (talk) 22:11, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- In one word; no. In another forty five; the band have done hundreds of shows 1 2 3 for a few, this list is a section of only their recorded venues, available at to download. It is quite like Pearl Jam Official Bootlegs, yet only some events are recorded. Thanks. Hpfan9374 (talk) 01:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Juno bare refs
Nice additions to Juno. It's great content. One thing though -- it looks as though you've added a lot of bare URL refs to the article, which until now had a pretty clean set of references, mostly by using cite templates. Personally, I prefer to type refs by hand, but either way, by hand or by template, it's good form to complete your citations properly. It would be great if you cleaned them up.
