[edit] Food for thought
"I think the ultimate tribute to God, in any form, is to maximize individual freedom –- and not to obstruct that freedom for others. The thing that puzzles me about moralistic government is that if you force everyone in the country to act a certain way morally, there ceases to be free will. Then nobody is truly benevolent at all, just pawns of the state. If I’m forced to act in a Christian manner by threat of law, am I really a Christian? Seems like this is quite detrimental to the Church. And to be honest, I’m less afraid of social conservatives in this regard as I am of fiscal liberals. If the government hijacks my income to redistribute it into some form of pork designed to help the less fortunate, especially when it doesn’t go toward its intended purpose anyway, not only are they stealing from me, but they’re preventing me from being charitable. It’s destructive for all parties." - Matt O'Liberty, full blog entry can be found here.
Hello there. If you're reading this, you should be editing or creating an article instead. I'm kidding, feel free to check out this WikiFlat until you get bored and return to editing.
I'm a current events and political news junkie. I need rehab for this affliction.
These are my future ex-husbands and baby daddies.
I'm the son of a fundamentalist Baptist preacher. I met Jerry Falwell while dating a guy that went to his university and that was an odd experience, to say the least.
I mostly grew up in North Carolina, but have lived in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida as well. I currently live in Washington, D.C. (aka. the home of endless political bickering, backstabbing, and government waste)
My ancestry is half German and half English.
I eat croutons and Doritos as brain food while creating an article. Oh yes, and lots of Ben & Jerry's.
I hold the Guinness World Record for longest penis ever recorded.[citation needed]
I love free speech.
I detest most political correctness. It's just a way to control the words and thoughts of people. Or as Orwell would say, thoughtcrime.
Big Brother just wants what is best for you. /end sarcasm
It's not politically correct for someone who doesn't like gay people to call me a queer or faggot. Go ahead, call me that. If you think that will hurt or damage my life and soul, then you're sadly mistaken. Words are not that powerful in my view. Besides, I'm proud to be a man-loving, c**k-sucking queer. Your insults are viewed by me as compliments, and I've found that most guys that use these terms as insults have repressed sexual feelings toward other males.
I'm not sure who said it, but I always find this quote to be thought provoking:
"Republicans want the government to be your daddy. Democrats want the government to be your mommy. Libertarians want the government to treat you like an adult."
Feel free to ask me any questions about my edits or views on a matter.
