York Regional Road 73 is an east-west formerly concession road, now a major urban throughfare, in York Region, Ontario, Canada. It runs in the towns of Markham, Richmond Hill, and City of Vaughan. York Regional Road 73 is one of the rare regional roads that stretch from the western limit to the eastern limit of York Region. The road west of the boundary is named as Peel Regional Road 107 (Castlemore Road / Bovaird Drive).

  • Locally referred to as (From west to east): Rutherford Road, Carrville Road, 16th Avenue. The number "Sixteenth" is a throwback to the naming of the concession roads in the former York County (which included the City of Toronto prior to 1954) This designation is also kept on Fourteenth, (parts of) Seventeenth and Nineteenth Avenues.
  • Municipalities (From west to east): Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham
  • Length: 40km (within York Region)
  • Transportation: mainly YRT Routes 85, 85A, 85B, and future 85C (from Beaver Creek to Markham-Stouffville Hospital); 16th-Carrville Vivastation on the Viva Blue line
  • Attractions: Kortright Centre for Conservation, Vaughan Mills Mall, David Dunlap Observatory (walking distance needed), Buttonville Airport, Hillcrest Mall
  • Road status: Mostly a 4-lane paved avenue, 6-lanes in portions near Vaughan Mills and between Mural Street/Vogell Road and Highway 404, 2 lane road east of Markham bypass and west of Highway 27
  • Zoning: Various, lots of residential, commercial, and farmland (mainly to west and east)
  • Additional information: Rutherford Road stretches from Highway 50 to Bathurst Street, Carrville is from Bathurst to Yonge, and 16th Avenue is from Yonge Street to the York Durham Line. Rutherford Road is known as Castlemore Road (which eventually becomes Bovaird Drive) in Peel Region (west of Highway 50).

The signage erected by York Region along 16th Avenue is inconsistent in its naming. The avenue is variously designated as "Sixteenth Avenue", "16th AVENUE", or "16th Avenue".

Rutherford/Carrville/16th is predominantly served by YRT routes 85, 85A, 85B, and the proposed 85C, which travels from Beaver Creek in Richmond Hill to Markham-Stouffville Hospital near 9th line in Markham.

The Viva Blue line pass through 16th-Carrville Vivastation at Yonge Street.
