[edit] Road Re-route : Box Grove By-Pass
According to the 2008 MapArt Golden Horseshoe Atlas, York Regional Road 69 is currently experiencing a re-route, meaning York Regional Road 69 is being re-aligned. The re-routing's purpose is to accommodate the extra traffic generated by the growing community of Cornell. The new-alignment will have 4 lanes of traffic. Currently the construction of this new alignment is just at north of York Regional Road 71 (14th Avenue). The new alignment was built due to the old 9th line between Highway 407 and 14th Avenue cannot sustain the newly generated traffic from Cornell, and that expanding this section of 9th Line is not possible due to the already existed buildings along this 2-laned road.
The new alignment is called Box Grove By-Pass.
