[edit] Structure

The title of an article is Virginia State Route N, where N is the number of the route. If it is an article about a secondary route, either disambiguate by adding (X County) to the end, such as Virginia State Route 613 (Fairfax County) or Virginia State Route 711 (Chesterfield and Powhatan Counties), or use the name of the road such as Fairfax County Parkway (which is SR 7100).

When talking about a route, use State Route N or SR N; see WP:USSH for details.

The guide to layout should be followed.

[edit] Infobox

The infobox template is template:infobox road. An example, with the code that will produce it, can be seen below:

You can also use template:jct for the shield and route part of the termini and junctions.

For secondary routes, use type=secondary.

[edit] Route description

The route should be described here, including places it passes through, major intersections, and other features such as mountain passes. Current major construction projects can be included here or in the history.

[edit] History

The history of the route, both as a route designation and as a road, should be described.

[edit] Exit list or Major intersections

An exit list should be used for freeways or roads that are almost freeways (such as SR 110). A major intersections table should follow the same format, but with only the major intersections listed.
