This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a particular topic, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.

WikiProject Tennessee is a project to help improve Wikipedia's coverage of articles relating to the state of Tennessee.

Here are some tasks you can do:

Requests:

-Create Joseph Greer the "Kings Mountain Messenger"

-Create Mike Hamilton, current athletic director of the Tennessee Volunteers, and one of the only ones without an article for the SEC athletic directors template.

-Create articles for TN high schools

-Create articles for dams and reservoirs on the Tennessee River and its tributaries

-Create articles for the unincorporated Tennessee communities with post offices that are listed in User:Nyttend/ZIP/TN

-Create articles for the List of airports in Tennessee. (I have begun filling in the airport infobox templates with basic information. See Perry County Airport for an example. This WikiProject is aimed at creating, improving and managing all articles relating to the U.S. state of Tennessee, including, but not limited to, its cities and counties, geographical features, people, institutions and businesses and history. We strive to maintain the utmost quality in all of these articles, and attempt to properly define their importance in the structure of Tennessee.

February 1, 2008 - List of counties in Tennessee was promoted to Featured List status.
January 19, 2008 - All identified Tennessee articles have been assessed for quality and importance for the Tennessee project.
December 24, 2007 - Navbox {{Memphis, Tennessee}} was contributed to improve navigation of Memphis Metro Area topics.
December 11, 2007 - WikiProject TN State Routes was started to improve quality of TN road articles.
December 4, 2007 - List of cities and towns in Tennessee was promoted to Featured List status.

I am thinking that several sections of the Elizabethton, Tennessee Wiki article first needs to be "more fleshed" out pertaining to several history sections (railroad history, rayon mill-textile workers/union historty history, etc.) before GA status --- I would also like to see content pertaining to the Elizabethton city government and the city parks and rec department.

The red link for a non-existing North American Rayon Corporation should be eliminated with the addition of more detail and perhaps image files about the rayon mills section under history (be sure to follow the Tennessee Encyclopedia external links for detailed material references).4.129.71.185 15:05, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
