[edit] Adopt an article

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.

• Okay, since this category was "naked" when I just came across it, I will volunteer to adopt a few New York State-related articles! :P I've had an interest in NYS-related administrative/political arcana, especially that related to education. I'll adopt:
  • Electoral fusion
  • University of the State of New York (not to be confused with SUNY)
  • Statutory college
  • Dormitory Authority of the State of New York
  • Empire State Development Corporation

• {{Infobox Settlement}} can be used for all types of settlements in the State of New York such as (click for examples) hamlets, villages, towns, and cities. It will provide a consistent look between New York articles and articles of other North American settlements where {{Infobox Settlement}} is used.
