- {{real world chronology}} will tag an article or section as needing to establish a real world chronology for events.
- {{Issue}} will tag unreferenced statements, asking for the relevant issue number to be cited.
- {{Comics-tense}} will tag articles which use the past tense rather than the literary present tense to describe fictional events.
[edit] Spoiler Warnings
Wikipedia does not use spoiler warnings.
[edit] Articles detailing with current or future (announced) comics
- Type {{future comic}} to produce:
|
This article or section contains information about a scheduled or expected comic book release, or a series already in progress.
It is likely to contain tentative information and the content may change significantly as the product release approaches and more information becomes available.
|
This will tag an article or section as describing a comic yet to be published. These articles or sections should be watched carefully, in line with the fact that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.
[edit] Comics related stub templates
A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information. Sizable articles are usually not considered stubs, even if they lack wikification or copy editing. With these articles, a cleanup template is usually added instead of a stub template. Note that small articles with little properly sourced information or with no inherent notability may end up being nominated for deletion or be merged into another relevant article.
The following are templates used to tag comics related articles as stubs.
- Type {{comics-stub}} to produce:
- This will also cause the page to appear on Category:Comics stubs.

[edit] WP:COMICS notice for talk pages

- Type {{comicsproj}} to produce:
- The WikiProject Comics project banner template allows certain tags which will categorise articles as in need of cleanup:
- {{comicsproj|infobox=yes}} will tag the article as requiring an infobox.
- {{comicsproj|image=yes}} will tag the article as requiring an image.
- {{comicsproj|attention=yes}} will tag the article as requiring attention. Reasons for the attention include:
- Articles needing wikifying
- Stub articles on important subjects
- Articles in need of expert attention
- Articles whose content or neutrality is disputed
- Articles that lack references
[edit] Comic book image tags
- Most comic book and graphic novel covers, interior artwork, comic strips, panels, webcomics and editorial cartoons are subject to copyright and should be used in accordance with our fair use policy. All such copyrighted images should be tagged with {{Non-free comic}} to produce:
This image is from a comic strip, webcomic or from the cover or interior of a comic book. The copyright for this image is most likely owned by either the publisher of the comic or the writer(s) and/or artist(s) which produced the comic in question. It is believed that
