The station went on the air as WJYL on 1989-01-16. On 1989-06-22, the station changed it's call sign to WLSY. On 1992-12-08 to WXKN. On 1997-06-06 to WNAI. On 1999-09-24 to WJIE. On 2002-04-23 to the current WDRD.[2]
