Wauconda Township covers an area of 23.98 square miles (62.11 square kilometers); of this, 0.98 square miles (2.54 square kilometers) or 4.09 percent is water. Lakes in this township include Bangs Lake and Slocum Lake. The stream of Mutton Creek runs through this township.
