Tonga has competed in 6 Summer Games. They have never competed in the Winter Games. Tonga is the smallest independent nation to have won an Olympic medal in the Summer games when Super Heavyweight Paea Wolfgram earned a silver in the 1996 games. Tonga is the only Oceanic country, save for Australia and New Zealand, to have won an Olympic medal.
