[edit] Boundaries

The Wrekin is a mixed constituency that wraps around the New Town of Telford, before stretching out to the Staffordshire border. Most of the constituency is covered by Telford and Wrekin Borough, including the towns of Wellington, Newport and the fairly suburban northern reaches of Telford (including Donnington). A small but significant area is in the Bridgnorth local government district and contains the town of Shifnal and the large village of Albrighton, along with a cluster of Wolverhampton commuter villages and RAF Cosford.

Boundary changes to realign the constituency boundaries to fit with the borough's new wards will result in the removal of Ketley.

The Wrekin should not be confused with the old Wrekin constituency.
