Sydvaranger G12 were two EMD G12 diesel-electric locomotives built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division for Sydvaranger for hauling iron ore trains on Kirkenes-Bjørnevatnbanen. They are powered by EMD 12-567C prime movers rated at 980 kW. The locomotives were acquired in the 1950s when the railway was converted from steam to diesel operation. They were used until the railway closed in 1997. One of the two was scrapped while the other was preserved.
