State Route 3020, or SR 3020, is a five-mile long road where the western terminus is at US 22. SR 3020 starts Camby Street, just beyond the western border of Penbrook. SR 3020 then heads east through Penbrook. At the eastern border of the borough, SR 3020 continues on Union Deposit Road, where it continues to its eastern terminus at SR 2019, Nyes Road, near Twin Lakes. SR 3020 intersects with Interstate 83/US 322 in Lower Paxton Township, just to the east of Susquehanna Township and the north of Lower Swatara Township.
Until 1955, SR 3020 was designated as Pennsylvania Route 340.

[edit] Route description
SR 3020 starts at US 22 just beyond the western border of Penbrook.[2] The two mile section of SR 3020 crosses Penbrook, heading from the northwest to the southeast of the borough, and is known as Camby Street. Camby Street ends at its intersection with Union Deposit Road and Market Street Road, on the eastern Penbrook border. SR 3020 continues to the east on Union Deposit Road, turning to the north and then east away from Penbrook.
SR 3020 intersects SR 3015, former Pennsylvania Route 543.[3] The road continues for another mile when it approaches an interchange with Interstate 83 and US 322 (Exit 48), which is also part of the Capital Beltway. The area surrounding this interchange has a number of shopping centers and hotels, and a hospital is near by.
Continuing on Union Deposit Road, SR 3020 intersects with SR 3017. Located at the intersection is Central Dauphin East High School, Central Dauphin East Middle School, and the administration building of Central Dauphin School District. SR 3020 continues for several more miles, through some farms and wooded areas, when it reaches it's terminus at SR 2019, Nyes Road.
[edit] History
From 1936 to 1955, Camby Street and Union Deposit Road was part of Pennsylvania Route 340.[3][4] In 1955, PA 340 was realigned and truncated, so the road's western terminus was moved from US 22 (the modern terminus of SR 3020) in Penbrook to US 422 in Hershey.[5]
