Smoky Lake County is a municipal district in north-eastern Alberta, Canada.
It is located in Census Division 12. The county seat is in the Town of Smoky Lake.

In 2001, the municipal district has a population of 4,417 in 2,104 dwellings, a 0.8% increase from 1996. On a surface of 3,412.66 km² it has a density of 1.3 inhabitants/km².[3]
In 2006, Smoky Lake County had a population of 3,357 living in 1,739 dwellings, a -24.0% increase from 2001. The countyhas a land area of 3,412.81 km² (1,317.7 sq mi) and a population density of 1.0/km² (2.6/sq mi).[2]
