Scott MacLeod (born 3 March 1979 in Hawick) is a Scottish rugby union footballer. He currently plays as a lock for the Llanelli Scarlets and the Scottish national team.
MacLeod made his debut for the national side on 6 November 2004, in a match against Australia, and has received 16 caps in total, without scoring a point. MacLeod was in the Scotland squad for the 2007 Rugby World Cup, where he made five appearances (four as a substitute).
On the morning of 25 February 2008, MacLeod was announced to have tested positive for banned substance Terbutaline, only to be retrospectively cleared a few hours later after it was revealed to be nothing more than an administrative error.[1]
