[edit] lots of edits, not an admin

Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. It looks like you're not active anymore, but if you come back and are at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list, although there is certainly no guarantee anyone will ever look at it. I've marked you on this list as "inactve". Feel free to update this as well. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) July 3, 2005 18:27 (UTC)

[edit] Please check your WP:NA entry

Greetings, editor! Your name appears on Wikipedia:List of non-admins with high edit counts. If you have not done so lately, please take a look at that page and check your listing to be sure that following the particulars are correct:

  1. If you are an admin, please remove your name from the list.
  2. If you are currently interested in being considered for adminship, please be sure your name is in bold; if you are opposed to being considered for adminship, please cross out your name (but do not delete it, as it will automatically be re-added in the next page update).
  3. Please check to see if you are in the right category for classification by number of edits.

Thank you, and have a wiki wiki day! bd2412 T 03:19, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Prince Rupert of the Rhine

hi Renata, how are you? You have created this article a long time ago. There is a discussion on the naming of this article, maybe you care to take a look since you created it? With kind regards... Gryffindor 17:55, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canals

Seeing how you've expressed an interest in canals and waterways, may you be interested in joining WP:UKW? Simply south (talk) 19:49, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, Simply south! Just tell me how to join... Despite having been a Wikipedian for some years, I'm finding the many new developments in Wikipedia bewildering. The list of do's and don'ts on the project page is frightening..... Renata (talk) 20:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Certainly. Just add your name and interest under Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Waterways#Members. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it again. If particularly Scotland, may i also interest you in WP:TIS. Simply south (talk) 21:47, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey good to see you back. Ran across your name a lot when our canal coverage consisted mostly of stubs back in 2004. You may have gathered that things have moved on a bit from then.Geni 23:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Geni, it's really nice when someone remembers you after such a long time! Many thanks, Renata (talk) 20:41, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Seton

Thanks for the headsup on Seton collegiate church. That notice is loaded with info and so is your web site. Amazing pics—what camera equipment do you use? I've lately upgraded to 10.2 mp SLR (Samsung) and very pleased with the results, rgds Bill Reid | Talk 14:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

No I haven't been to Seton but certainly intend to. I've just looked it up on undiscoveredscotland. Amazingly shaped steeple and the inside shots are impressive. Many thx for your help. Rgds. Bill Reid | Talk 15:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Photos

Hi Renata, this is just a suggestion. If you are uploading lots of pictures, under a free license, then you might want to do so at Wikimedia Commons rather than here at Wikipedia. Commons is designed as a media repository, and files there can still be added to Wikipedia pages in the normal way. The advantage is that any Wiki, not just the English Wikipedia, can use images that are on Commons. You'll need to log on at Commons, but the upload process is the same as here. If you're uploading lots at once, there is a program called Commonist. You can also move the images you have uploaded already to Commons - there is information at Wikipedia:WikiProject Moving free images to Wikimedia Commons, which has just this aim. [edit] River Tyne, Scotland

Why there is a see also link to List of places in East Lothian in this article? This article is about a river and river is not "place". Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 09:02, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] List of Places

Hullo renata! I've just changed a couple of wee things on the List of Places in East Lothian, and wanted to check them with you (as I'm fairly new to this wikipedia malarky). Changed Saltoun Castle to Saltoun Hall, and Saltoun Forest to Saltoun Big Wood (as these are the proper names for these things - yes, even "Big Wood"!). Hope that's okay -Tpacw (talk) 17:23, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for that. There's sometimes confusion about whether a historic house is called "Castle" or House or something else. Ballencrieff is an example - the previous owner put it on the market as B. Castle to get a better price. It's now owned by an American couple. Renata (talk) 21:34, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum

Relevance of links?

I presume you mean my edit comment about the 'See also' links. Well, they may be relevant to industry in general, but it is not obvious how they relate to the page in question.

The links to Cornish Engine and Beam Engine were better served within the article itself, which is why I removed them. (It is not usual practice to duplicate in-text links in the See Also section).

Hope this answers your question.

Incidentally, I have placed a query on the article's talk page concerning it, the ERIH and the Scottish Mining Museum. It seemed a more appropriate place than here (and was not urgent, so did not need your immediate attention).

[edit] Your user page

Renata, noticed your text is wrapped round your userboxes. If you cut and paste this <br style="clear: left"/> after the last userbox, the text will be below them. Rgds, Bill Reid | Talk 15:18, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Addendum, it appears that it is not rendering properly in Firefox; Internet Explorer is fine. The above fix will make it ok for all browsers. Rgds,Bill Reid | Talk 18:47, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
