If Wikipedia is gonna get some sort of Google subsidiary, enthusiastically promoted by Google books search, I do doubt Wikipedia will be worth even visiting by people seeking the knowledge.
What makes me wonder, how many times they will delete notable references one after another, replace academic references with some obscure tygodniks and still consider themselves "prominent" contributors?
If I will ever see Google books scrap'z without full citation - expect trouble.
A bit of open-heart: I do not go into editing any article, unless I've read a good monography on the subject or at least decent article in an academic journal.
