[edit] History
Queen City FC was started by former professional and college players looking for a side to support in the Greater Buffalo area, with the only high level football played in the area being in Rochester, with the Rochester Raging Rhinos and the MLS expansion team Toronto FC in Toronto. Queen City FC initially intended to have only a men's side, competing in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), but are now considering entering a women's side into the sister league of the NPSL, the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for 2009. Queen City FC has also created a community soccer program, called the Buffalo Soccer Initiative that offers free soccer leagues, and after school activities for children in the city of Buffalo.
[edit] Club badge
The logo for Queen City FC was designed using the skyline of Buffalo, New York, and a queen's crown atop of the badge. Buffalo's nickname is the Queen City.
[edit] Supporters
The club's supporters group is known as "The O-Block". They meet for pre-game pints at Broadway Joe's 3051 Main St, Buffalo.
