The Empire State Roar is a Women's American football team. They play in Rochester, New York at the East Rochester High School Field and are currently a member of the Women's Professional Football League. The team plans to move to the Independent Women's Football League in 2009.

The Empire State Roar is the only Women's Professional Football team in Rochester, New York. Since the team's inception in 2005, they have played at the East Rochester High School Field. The 2006 season marks the teams first full season with the Women's Professional Football League, they were an exhibition team during the 2005 season.
Following the 2007 the team left the WPFL and temporarily suspended operations. They will return to play in 2009 as a member of the Independent Women's Football League.
