Provost (IPA: /ˈproʊvoʊst/) is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located at the junction of Highway 13 and Highway 899. It is situated 19 km (12 mi) west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.
There are two schools in Provost: Provost Public and St. Thomas Aquinas.
The economic bases of Provost are agricultural and oilfield.

In 2006, Provost had a population of 2,072 living in 832 dwellings, a 4.6% increase from 2001. The town has a land area of 4.93 km² (1.9 sq mi) and a population density of 420.1/km² (1,088.1/sq mi).[1]
