Blackfalds is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located along Highway 2A just north of Red Deer.

In 2006, Blackfalds had a population of 4,571 living in 1,716 dwellings, a 46.7% increase from 2001. The town has a land area of 8.40 km² (3.2 sq mi) and a population density of 544.3/km² (1,409.7/sq mi).[2]
