Peace River is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada.
The riding of Peace River is one of five ridings out of the original twenty five, that has existed since Alberta became a province in 1905. The other four surviving ridings are Medicine Hat, Strathcona, St. Albert and Stony Plain.
The riding occupies the extreme northwest corner of the province. During its 100 years the riding has only elected opposition members twice, this riding is one of the safest seats in the province for governments of the day, but will turn on a dime during government changes.
Major communities include Peace River, High Level and Rainbow Lake.
Nahendeh, Deh Cho districts in the Northwest Territories border to the North and Thebacha district in the Northwest Territories borders on the north east corner. Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo borders to the east. Lesser Slave Lake borders to the south. Dunvegan-Central Peace borders to the south and west. Peace River North in British Columbia border to the west.

On November 19, 2004 a Student Vote was conducted at participating Alberta schools to parallel the 2004 Alberta general election results. The vote was designed to educate students and simulate the electoral process for persons who have not yet reached the legal majority. The vote was conducted in 80 of the 83 provincial electoral districts with students voting for actual election candidates. Schools with a large student body that reside in another electoral district had the option to vote for candidates outside of the electoral district then where they were physically located.
