Ortacesus is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 35 km north of Cagliari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 981 and an area of 23.6 km².[1]
Ortacesus borders the following municipalities: Barrali, Guamaggiore, Guasila, Pimentel, Sant'Andrea Frius, Selegas, Senorbì.
