Modriča (Cyrillic: Модрича) is a town and municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Near it lie the towns of Šamac and Gradačac.

According to the 1991 census, the Modriča municipality had a population of 35,413 people, including:
- 12,563 Serbs (See: Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- 10,442 Bosniaks
- 9,660 Croats (See: Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- 1,813 Yugoslavs
- 935 others

In 2006, the majority of inhabitants of the municipality were ethnic Serbs. [3]

The Modriča oil refinery is located in Modriča. Products include High quality motor oil Optima, Optima Supervisk, Optima Racing and Maxima. It have ISO:9001 Certificat of Quality (web site: www.modricaoil.com).
Russians have bought the oil refinery.

- The local football club, FK Modriča, plays in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The local volleyball club is Modriča Optima.
