Mocònesi is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 20 km east of Genoa. As of 31 December, 2004, it had a population of 2,606 and an area of 16.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Mocònesi contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Gattorna, Ferrada, Cornia, and Moconesi Alto.
Mocònesi borders the following municipalities: Cicagna, Favale di Malvaro, Lorsica, Montebruno, Neirone, Torriglia, Tribogna.
