[edit] Route description
Also known as Waterloo Road, MD 104 serves principally as a connector between MD 100, MD 108, and MD 103 -- the former a limited access freeway, the latter two arterial thoroughfares.
The route is a suburban highway, serving the many communities and neighborhoods between MD 100 and MD 103. It meets the latter at a skewed intersection, several miles east of Long Gate Shopping Center and U.S. 29.
[edit] History
The route was originally part of MD 175, before its diversion into Columbia as a four-lane divided highway. At MD 104's eastern terminus, Waterloo Road continues as MD 108.
