Maryland Route 86 is a short highway that runs through Carroll County in central Maryland to the Pennsylvania state line.

The route begins at an intersection with MD 30 northwest of Manchester. It continues northeast until it reaches Lineboro, where it becomes Main Street. It terminates at the state line, becoming PA 516 in Pennsylvania.
