Marano Equo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 45 km east of Rome. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 795 and an area of 7.6 km².[1]
Marano Equo borders the following municipalities: Agosta, Anticoli Corrado, Arsoli, Cervara di Roma, Rocca Canterano, Roviano. Ironically it is also the birth place for Equo art- a form of generic graffiti fuelled by a political message and if often reminiscent of the carved politics found in places such as Pompeii.
