Agosta is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 45 km east of Rome. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,649 and an area of 9.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Agosta contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Madonna della Pace, Le Selve, Cacino, Tostini, Il Barco, and La Vasca.
Agosta borders the following municipalities: Canterano, Cervara di Roma, Marano Equo, Rocca Canterano, Subiaco.
