- Note- Current RAF Stations will be listed under the currently recognised county of the UK, or overseas countries, whereas Former RAF Stations will be listed under any former county or country name which was appropriate for the duration of operation.

During the Great War (1914-1918), and for a short period afterwards, there were at least 250 recognised airfields in France that the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Naval Air Service, and Royal Air Force used at various times.[6]
