Joshua Lloyd Thomas (born June 26, 1981 in Plymouth, Massachusetts) is an American football defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football at Syracuse.

Thomas attended High School in [[Orchard Park (town), New York.

He was a three-year starter at Syracuse University who opened 34 of 36 career games and had 124 career tackles, nine sacks, 23 tackles for losses and two interceptions.
[edit] Professional career
He signed as an undrafted free agent with Colts on April 30, 2004. His first year with the Colts was shortened by a season ending knee injury. Recovering from surgery his second year started slowly but improved steadily. In his third year and final contract year he played approximately half the plays from scrimmage. The Colts went on to win the Super Bowl beating the Chicago Bears. He then signed a tender offer, as a restricted free agent, for a fourth year with the Colts.
