This page is a notice board for things particularly relevant to Iran and/or Iranian Wikipedians. This page is meant to inform users who are knowledgeable on the various Iranian subjects to participate in the maintenance of articles related to Iranian culture and languages and improve their encyclopedic quality and reliability.

To improve the situation of the core articles, some wikipedians are announcing a two-week-long contest focusing on Wikipedia's most important articles, running from November 25, 2007 to December 9, 2007. - Famous Iranian Arabs: factual accuracy is disputed. Every one who was born in Khuzestan has been considered ethnic arab !
- Greater and Lesser Tunbs: Someone keeps replacing the name Persian Gulf with Arabian Gulf.

IMPORTANT: There are a lot of articles that are either poorly interwiki-linked, or not linked at all, the so called orphaned articles. It is imperative that all articles be linked through the "See also" sections to other similar, as well as subset and superset articles. The article itself is of little use if it is not linked and listed properly. Linking is even more important than categorizing. Perhaps even more important than the article itself.

- Iranian Parliament's Plan for University Entrance' Sexual Quota, expansion.
- Leading research groups in Iran to be expanded. All productive research teams must be listed.
- Pop music: sections on Iranian pop need to be added.
- 2nd of Khordad Movement needs to be expanded and edited.
- Religious Intellectualism in Iran, to be expanded.
- Liberalism in Iran to be expanded.
- Human rights in Iran - Always a current issue and there's not much info there + its not been linked to anything properly.

- Governmental Corruption in Iran covers a much discussed topic, and should have some form of article.
- Dariush Eghbali needs to be translated and wikified.
- Clericalism in Iran needs to be expanded.
- Azari-related articles are being monopolized, statements are being made that say Azarbaijan was partioned between Russia and Iran/Persia. A good point to start is the Azari page and Talk:Azari.

- Persian culture ist not necessairily the same as Iranian culture - the article leaves out any referrence of Persian culture outside of the modern nation "Iran", while it, at the same time, imposes "Persian culture" on all Non-Persians in Iran. This needs to be corrected!
- Persian Mysticism needs expansion. We need to cover persian mystic poetry and music extensively there.
- Layeq Shir-Ali needs expansion.
- Need Abol Mo'ayyed Balkhi (ابوالموید بلخی), information about writer is available at: fa.
- Satire: sections on Persian satire.
