Embarrass Township covers an area of 44.24 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Brocton. It contains five cemeteries: Catfish, Catfish Point, Embarrass, Scott and Zimmerman.

The streams of Catfish Creek and Hickory Grove Creek run through this township.

Embarrass Township contains two airports: Ewing Landing Strip and Lamkey Landing Strip.
