Diego Capel Trinidad (born February 16, 1988 in Albox, Almería) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Sevilla FC of the Spanish La Liga. His main position is left winger, from where he display his main traits: pace, acceleration, and on-the-ball skills.
Capel debuted aged 16 in Sevilla's first team, playing 3 minutes in a 2-1 home win over Atlético Madrid. In the following seasons, he would alternate between the A and B teams, playing 4 further games in 2005-06 with the main squad.
Capel became the first-choice left winger in 2007-08 for Sevilla, due to the death of another left-footed winger, Antonio Puerta. Capel scored his first goal in the Primera División against FC Barcelona on February 9, 2008.
He played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup for Spain, scoring in the first match against Uruguay in injury time, tying the game 2-2. He helped Spain progress to the quarter finals where they were knocked out by the Czech Republic.
