Andrés Palop Cervera (born October 22, 1973, in L'Alcúdia (Valencia)) is a Spanish football goalkeeper.
He was understudy to Santiago Cañizares at Valencia for a number of years, and is currently the number one goalkeeper at La Liga team Sevilla FC.
On March 15, 2007, he made headlines when he scored an injury-time equalising goal for Sevilla in their UEFA Cup last-16 tie against Shakhtar Donetsk, forcing extra time as a result. Sevilla went on to win the match 3-2 in extra time, putting them through to the next round. Palop had a key role in the UEFA Cup final against RCD Espanyol stopping 3 of 4 penalty kicks.[1]
