José Angel Crespo Rincón aka Crespo (born 9 February 1987 in Sevilla, Andalusia) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Sevilla FC of La Liga. His usual demarcation is left defender.
[edit] Club career
A product of Sevilla FC's youth system, Crespo debuted with the first team on December 21, 2005, in a 0-1 away defeat to Getafe CF, appearing two more games during the season.
In 2007-2008, with Antonio Puerta's (another left back) untimely death, Crespo was definitely promoted to the first team.
In December 2007, Aston Villa reportedly showed interest in signing Crespo, who displayed several good performances under coach Manolo Jiménez (who replaced Juande Ramos in October 2007), also his coach at Sevilla Atlético.[1]
