Denim Air B.V. is a charter airline based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. It provides ACMI wet lease services to other airlines. Its main base is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol[1].

The airline was established in 1996 and started operations on 26 April 1996. In January 1999 the Spanish airline Air Nostrum wholly acquired Denim Air. In October 2002 the management team of Denim Air bought back the shares in a management buy-out. In June 2003 it started operating domestic flights in Germany from Augsburg to Düsseldorf and Berlin. In 2005 scheduled operations ceased after the airline was acquired by Panta Holdings which also owns VLM Airlines. It has since concentrated exclusively on providing ACMI services and in 2006 operations were moved to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It is wholly owned by Panta Holdings and has 242 employees (at March 2007)[1].
Denim Air is mainly targeting African, Asian and other willing markets, operating for United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan and Central Africa, for the Norwegian Army in Afghanistan, for Veba Oil in Libya. Furthermore there are operations in The Netherlands (VLM Airlines), Albania (Albanian Airlines) Nigeria (Arik Air), (Virgin Nigeria Airways). Denim F50 have also been operating on behalf of KLM Cityhopper, Olympic Airlines, Loganair, Aer Arann, British Airways, Cirrus Airlines, United Nations World Food Programme, Widerøe, Royal Danish Army, Air Sénégal International and Air Mauretania, Air Service Gabon and many others.[citation needed]

Denim Air solely operates under wetlease (ACMI) contracts on behalf of Airlines, United Nations, NGO's, Army Forces.

The Denim Air fleet includes the following aircraft (at March 2008):
- 12 Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 (one aircraft is operated for Veba Oil, eight aircraft are operated for Air Nostrum and three aircraft are operated for Arik Air)
- 7 Fokker 50 ( One aircraft is operated on behalf of the Norwegian army in Afghanistan NDLO, one aircraft is operated for Arik Air, one aircraft is operated for Virgin Nigeria Airways and four aircraft are operated for Widerøe)
As of March 2008, the average age of the Denim Air fleet is 11.7 years ([1]).
