Danforth Township is located in Iroquois County, Illinois. The population was 951 at the 2000 census. Danforth Township formed from Douglas Township and Ashkum Township sometime before 1921.

Danforth Township covers an area of 51.68 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Danforth. According to the USGS, it contains one cemetery, Bardon.
