Chung Hwan Kwak (born January 22, 1936) is the leader of a number of key organizations of the Unification Church and the Unification Movement.

Educated in his native South Korea, he holds a B.A. in law from Sangji University and an M.A. in western philosophy from Konkuk University Graduate School. He received an honorary Ph.D. in humanities in 1986 from the University of Baguio, the Philippines.

Kwak holds leadership positions in many Unification Movement organizations:

He is Chairman of the Board or has been President of:

  • Unification Church of Korea
  • Unification Foundation of Korea
  • International Relief and Friendship Foundation

Kwak wrote and supervised the translation into English of 5 levels of progressively in-depth "outlines" of Divine Principle which he said were more attuned to the Western way of thinking than the Divine Principle text. For a time most members in the U.S. regarded Outline of the Principle: Level 4 as the most official version of Divine Principle in English, but later church founder Sun Myung Moon made it clear that the Divine Principle book retained that position.
