Child Rebel Soldier, or CRS, is a Hip hop super group comprised of hip hop artists Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Lupe Fiasco.

Lupe is the Child, Kanye is the Rebel, and Pharrell is the Soldier. Their first single, "US Placers," appeared on Kanye West's mixtape, "Can't Tell Me Nothing" released in May 2007 and Lupe Fiasco's Mixtape "The Coolest Mixtape.[1] The song "US Placers" was #43 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.[2] In December 2007, a non-commissioned music video to the song caught attention on the internet, and even features West's engineer and mixer, "Plain Pat."[3]

On January 29, 2008, it was announced on Kanye West's blog that the three artists would be touring later in the year together. The "Glow in the Dark Tour" will consist of Kanye West, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco and N*E*R*D (a trio which Pharrell Williams is a member of).

According to an interview on sohh.com with Lupe Fiasco, there are plans for a CRS album in late 2008. He said the trio of C.R.S. would have three different elements to it: an album, music videos, and a third element he failed to elaborate on (speculation that what he was referring to at this point was the then unannounced "Glow in the Dark" Tour).

The group's name was mentioned by Lupe in the remix to the Fall Out Boy song, "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race." The song known as arms race also featured and was produced by West. Fiasco raps,

"I pledge allegiance to gasoline
and bulletproof limousines
And liens
on the property of the poor
and every night, I pray to the Lords of War,
every man and mac eleven
that all good child rebel soldiers go to AK47 heaven
and a land mine in every playground that they step in."

The group was also featured on the remix to Everyone Nose by N*E*R*D. They were labeled as Child Rebel Soldier on the song instead of their separate entities. This is the second song where they use their group name.

At Summer Jam in 2008, Kanye mentioned the group in a freestyle. Kanye raps:

"Together we like the Kenyan, marathon team
Three black rap acts that spit that crack"
