"The New Workout Plan" is a fast paced dance song from Kanye West's debut album, The College Dropout. Released in late 2004, the single peaked at number fifty-nine on the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

[edit] Song information

The song is about West running a training camp for women. He has made a new plan for their workout, which explains the song's title.

The official remix is produced by Luke and Lil Jon and features guest appearances from many people, such as Twista and Fonzworth Bentley. The remix can be found on Kanye's Video Anthology CD/DVD.

[edit] Music video

The music video for the song was made in the manner of an infomercial for a series of workout tapes. It featured Anna Nicole Smith, Tracee Ellis Ross, Esther Baxter, Vida Guerra, Farnsworth Bentley, Consequence, GLC, Miri Ben-Ari (who plays the violins), John Legend, and West's mascot Dropout Bear.
