Sheldon Haley, better known as Shay or Shae, is an African American musician. He is a member of the funk rock band, N*E*R*D. Haley appears to keep away from the spotlight, compared to his band mates, Pharrell Williams and, to a lesser extent, Chad Hugo, who are both members of the production duo The Neptunes. During an interview by The Source, Haley stated that this is all intentional as he doesn't wish to pay the price of fame, such as being mobbed by masses of fans or having to hire a bodyguard.

He states the Beatles as the rock act which was his main influence and inspiration.[1]
