Let's Get Blown is the second single release from the R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) The Masterpiece album, was produced by The Neptunes which features Pharrell. It couldn't repeat the success of Drop It Like It's Hot, but it filled the gap between the aforementioned song and the Signs club hit. On the vocals Pharrell is joined by R&B newcomer Keyshia Cole, who hadn't earned a world fame reputation at that time, therefore she wasn't included neither in the main artists-line nor in the credits, and that was her one of the two participations in the R&G album production (her other song with Snoop is Pass It Pass It). The song samples and interpolates Slave's "Watching You," which was also interpolated in "Gin and Juice." It was recorded by Andrew Coleman and Phil Tan at Record Plant Studios, Los Angeles, CA in 2004. The video (directed by Paul Hunter) was first aired in the week of February 21, 2005. It was 27th on LAUNCH Music Videos Top 100 in January 2005 and 59th on MTV's Top 100 of 2005 video list in December.
The song was performed live at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 20, 2005.
In 2005 the Neptunes were nominated for Grammy Award for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical in Rap category for composing this song.
