From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 205.124.35.4, is registered to Utah Educational Network and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

This IP address has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to abuse of editing privileges.
Further abuse from this IP address may result in an extended block.

orz, this is a school IP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.124.35.4 (talkcontribs)

Well, you'd better think about getting yourself an account 'cause it looks like this one is fixing to get itself blocked. — Dave (Talk | contribs) 20:24, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
You see, the problem with that is, it is a highschool, and they won't let the students sign in to accounts. So you just blocked a highschool from using wikipedia because of one of 1500 I think students that use that IP. -Strongbad9405 03:42, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
So, maybe they need to figure out how to deal with the vandals at the school rather than expecting us to deal with them. By the way, you seem to know an awful lot about what goes on at some anonymous IP address. The address resolves to "Utah Education Network" which, according to their site, represents a whole host of institutions. Precisely which school is the vandalism coming from and why don't you take steps to bring it to the attention of the authorities there if you're so plugged in? — Dave (Talk | contribs) 20:20, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
This is Taylorsville High School. The reason I can't do anything is because I am a student myself. I have talked to a teacher about the problem, but they obviously haven't done anything about it yet. I'd suggest setting an edit block on this IP address though. That would probably help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.124.35.4 (talkcontribs)

I've said that accounts are impossible as this is a high school, where they won't let students sign into things. And this IP address is too massively shared anyway, with 1500+ users. -205.124.35.4 18:35, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
