WTLU-CA, channel 50, is an independent television station owned by Liberty University with studios and offices located at the university's campus in Lynchburg, Virginia. The station brands itself as The Liberty Channel.

This station is an independent Christian television station, carrying shows hosted by televangelists, children's programming, and other programs including Bill Gaither's Homecoming Hour. It also has its share of secular programming, which includes (as of January 2007) classic television series such as Bonanza, The Beverly Hillbillies, and, of course, The Andy Griffith Show. These shows come from a satellite service that airs only public domain movies and public domain episodes of many classic TV shows. These are episodes that the copyright holder simply gave to the public domain by deciding to not to renew copyrights. Viacom, for example did not renew copyright for about 20 episodes from season three of the Andy Griffith Show. Therefore, only these episodes run on channel 50.

Among the station-produced programs airing on WTLU is Live from Liberty, formerly known as The Old-Time Gospel Hour.

The Liberty Channel is available on cable in the Roanoke-Lynchburg market, and on the Sky Angel satellite across the United States.
